Everyday Favourites

I'm having a little favourites break on the old youtube channel. In case you're missing them though, here are some of my current everyday favourite items!

Soap & Glory Mist You Madly body spray
This is my to go daily fragrance at the moment. It smells of Soap & Glory's original scent, which I'm sure most of you are aware of. It's a perfect everyday scent as it's nice, yet not overpowering. For a body spray this actually lasts a really long time too.

L'Oreal Skin Perfection primer
This is perfect for both make up & no make up days! It acts as a great base if you are wearing make up, however it also has great blurring properties even without make up. It's a great little addition to your skincare/ make up routine.

Simple eye balm
This thing has saved my eyes! I used to really struggle to use eye creams, as my Blepharitis makes my eyes super sensitive & the skin around them. This product has so little in it, which makes it perfect. It's not heavy or stings, it just hydrates!

Lush Bubblegum lip scrub
We are still in that cold spell & my lips keep getting really dry/ chapped so this is ideal to buff that nasty dry skin away. It tastes amazing & really exfoliates my lips.

Nivea Stress Protect anti-perspirant
I've been using this deodorant for so long, it's pretty much a holy grail. It's probably one of the few ones that I've tried that actually works! Although I'd have to say the Nivea one's are pretty good in general.

Soap & Glory Hand Food hand cream
Again this weather is making my knuckles really dry, so currently hand cream is a must! I really like this one because it's non-greasy & smells incredible. The scent is the Sugarcrust scent, which is a sweet citrusy smell. I love it!

2015 Finds!

2015 has been a great year for discoveries!
So instead of doing an end of year favourites I wanted to film something a little different.

So I decided to go with my favourite finds/ discoveries of 2015!

Some of my highlights have been finding out how amazing lip liners are, especially MACs & NYX's contour palette which is the first contour palette I've found for truly pale people. There have been plenty of other items too including haircare, more beauty, body care & skincare!

Extraordinary Oil!

Hair oil, something that at first seems kinda scary but is really a haircare essential!
I have already done a hair oil review on here previously on the Natural World Coconut Water Hair Oil which I love.

This L'Oreal Elvive hair oil is no different!

I love hair oils in general & this one has to be my current favourite! L'Oreal have a few different hair oils in their range, I like to use the one formulated for coloured hair (for obvious reasons).
This hair oil is not only formulated for coloured hair but it also has UV filtered in it to protect your hair from sun damage.
I love this feature as my ends can get pretty dry if I'm out in the sun a lot.

This like most hair oils can be used in a variety of ways, I tend to use it mostly to nourish the ends of my hair. I do this most days, especially on days when I've washed my hair. It works great on dry or damp hair.
It also isn't too greasy, I find this quite a dry oil. It's kind of like the perfect in-between of the two! It's super nourishing but not so greasy that you hate the result.

This does have quite a strong scent to it, however I think it's quite a nice scent. It's a sweet & somewhat fruity scent.

Overall I would definitely recommend this hair oil, it's a drugstore product that doesn't get enough hype in my opinion! It retails for £9.99, however if you shop around you'll likely find it on offer somewhere.

New In My Make Up Bag #4

It's time for another quick look inside my make up bag!

I have a few things I'm using a lot at the moment, so it's only fair to tell you guys about them.

Vaseline Pink Bubbly.
I've had this for a good while now but Vaseline tubs in general are a great thing to keep with you! This one I love because it has a really nice scent to it & it isn't tinted. I like the tinted ones but you can only really use them on the lips & I sometimes like to use Vaseline on other areas on the go (i.e. cuticles, elbows , knees).

L'Oreal Skin Perfection.
This product is a bit weird as it isn't labelled what it is but I use it like a primer. It has a really good blurring effect & minimises the appearance of pores.

Benefit Ultra Plush in Fauxmance.
This lip gloss is a new favourite! I got it in my Benefit Advent Calendar & only recently discovered how great it is. It's a great nude colour for me. I also like to layer this on top of either my Mac Lip Liner in Dervish or my new Kate Moss nude lipstick in 45.

MUA Blush in English Rose.
This is one of those blushes that I really don't reach for but I should. It's a bargain product that's for sure. I've had it a while so am making a point of using it but it goes off. Although I'm sure powder products last for ages!

No7 Lipstick in Chic.
This lipstick was one I actually got give by my mom, as she didn't use it. And I love it!
I am all about the nude lips at the moment & this is a really nice colour. The formulation of this lipstick is always amazing. It's not overly glossy and also very moisturising which is right up my street! Love love love!

FOTD #1

FOTD = Face Of The Day.

This has kind of been my 'go to' make up look for the past month.
So let's get onto the products I used.

L'oreal Skin Perfection
This is a weird product which I bought by accident (I'll spare you the details) but it turned out to be quite a little gem. It's a blurring primer which decreases the appearance of visible pores & overall just makes your skin look a lot better.

L'oreal True Match Foundation
This is my holy grail foundation! I just love it so of course I'd be using it. The shade I'm currently using is N1.

MAC Pro Longwear Concealer
Another favourite base product of mine, this concealer is a little highlighting and has great coverage. It also isn't too thick which I like. It also really is long wearing.

Soap & Glory Archery Brow Pencil
I haven't really been about that polished brow look this month, I've been ill & feeling pretty lazy so a brow pencil is ideal. I love using powders but they are a little fussy at times. This is great as it has a brush on one end & the pencil on the other (a bit like the brow wiz).

Benefit High Beam
I feel like I fall in love with this product every summer. I love how this highlighter looks on my skin and I've been preferring highlighting over contouring recently.
Check out this new trend, it's called strobing.

Benefit Big Beautiful Eyes Palette
This palette is a great on the go, quick to grab & use palette. Like I said before I've been a bit lazy this month so this has been ideal. It's also a great size to throw in your purse.

Soap & Glory Thick & Fast Mascara
This mascara is perfect for sensitive eyes & that is the exact reason it's been my go to mascara this month. When I'm ill but need to wear mascara this is the one I go for.

Barry M Contour Kit
I've been loving this kit since I got it, the colours are great & it's a bargain.

MUA Blush
This product I've had for ages & I rediscovered it this month. It's actually a really nice blush for £2.50! It can get a little shimmery though if you use too much, so don't be too heavy handed. This blush is in the shade English Rose.

Make Up Revolution Lipstick
For a cheap lipstick you really can't complain at this product. It's actually quite moisturising and comfortable to wear. The shade I've been using is 'When You Came To Me'. Which is a nice browny nude.

New In My Make Up #3

It's time for another instalment of what's new in my make up bag!

I've been trying not to buy too much new make up, so a lot of these things are products I've owned for a while.
So onto the products...

Benefit Brow-Zing
I love this product & have done since I've had it, however I had been using other products for some time. So I have somewhat rediscovered this. It's a brow kit which contains a powder, wax, brushes & tweezers. Mine is in the colour Medium, so yes they have a selection of colours. The powder is my favourite part of this product, however as waxes go I do actually like the one in this kit.

ELF Eyelash Curlers
I never used to use eyelash curlers however I've noticed my eyelash aren't quite in as good condition as they used to be. I can only imagine this is due to the numerous eye problems I have been suffering with over the last year. So I find these days I need to curl them, especially when using certain mascaras.

Benefit Sugarbomb Lipgloss
Again a product I've had for a while, but this I've never truly loved, until now! I recently got MAC's Lip Liner is Dervish. I love layering the Sugarbomb lipgloss over top. It's just the perfect glossy nude lip. LOVE!

L'Oreal Infallible 24Hour Matte Foundation
I have a full video review on this foundation. I love the L'Oreal True Match & thought this would be a great one to try when it first launched. And you know what.. I was right! I love this foundation. As we are now in summer I'm finding that I sometimes get a little greasy in my True Match foundation, so this is a great alternative.

Products I don't reach for

We all do that thing where we buy products randomly & realise they're nothing special.
So I decided it might be helpful to you guys if I showed you some of these products.

Some of them I have reached for on occasions but not massively.

Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer.
I only have this in one shade and its a bright pink colour. To start with the colour just doesn't work for me. I also find they take forever to dry & with a lip lacquer that's not ideal. I also find the applicator holds far too much product so control is hard & it's not an easy product to remove if you over shoot it. I just feel there are much better lip lacquers out there.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain.
Again the colour is so wrong for me, it's too orange. However I also don't like the smell of this product and I think with lip products that's so important. I'm just not a fan of these balmy sticks. I don't find them all that hydrating and the colour selections trend to be really weird.

L'Oreal Paris Glam Shine Balmy Gloss.
This is very much the same as the Revlon stick, it's not that hydrating and the colour selection is again really weird.

Benefit The Big Easy BB Cream.
For a while last summer I loved this product but it really doesn't work for me when I haven't been on holiday (is that a good enough reason to go on more holidays??). So I do like this product but only really in the summer, partly due to the lack of coverage it gives and the colour I own.

Make Up Revolution I Tint My Brows.
I don't dislike this product I just find it a bit of hard work. It's one of them brow products with a wand but the problem is the wand is a bit too big/ thick. I sometimes use it to set my brows but I don't think the colour completely matches my brows either.

Benefit Dallas Blush.
I quite like this as a blush/ bronzer mixture but I think it breaks me out. I started using it a while ago and noticed some spots on my cheeks not long after. So I have since been very cautious about using it. I have some other Benefit blushes that my skin is fine though so it is a bit weird.

What products do you guys not reach for in your make up collection?

Sunday Skin Secrets #2

I overall have pretty good skin so picking a face cream/ daily moisturiser isn't that much of an issue.
To be honest the main thing I look for is something that doesn't make me greasy halfway through the day!

Fancy creams aren't really my thing, but I decided to try the L'Oreal Skin Perfection Daily Moisturiser a while ago.

I would like to note I have since repurchased this product, which says something!
This moisturiser retails for £14.99, however I always manage to pick it up on offer.

The cream itself has a nice light rose scent, nothing too offensive. It also has some blurring properties to it, which is great for people who have visible pores. I also find when I use this it also gets rid of any dark marks/ discolouration on my skin.
It doesn't do a lot for my rosacea though. Sadly not many products do!

I do like how this cream feels on my face, it sinks into the skin pretty quickly which I prefer.
It also doesn't make my skin greasy at all, this is probably my favourite thing about this cream!
I really don't think you could ask for much more from this cream.

It doesn't claim to be anti-aging, but L'Oreal do have many other skincare ranges to suit any age.
I have quite a few items from the 'Skin Perfecton' range & overall think it's a good range.
I would say it's suited for people around the 20 - 30 year old mark.

A true match!

Foundation has to be the hardest make up product to get right. There are loads of different formulas & textures and don't get me started on shade ranges!

However there is one foundation that I have been using for over a year now & I am completely in love with it.
What makes it even better? Is that it is a drugstore product!

I am talking about the L'Oreal Paris True Match Foundation.

Now the first reason that I love this foundation is due to the amazingly large colour range. They range from cool, neutral to warm tones. So there is a shade for everyone!
They also do really pale shades for people like myself, usually no foundation is light enough for my skin.

Another reason I love this foundation is the coverage. I have pretty good skin so I don't need that much coverage. This foundation is a medium coverage to me and that's how I wear it, however you could build it up to create fuller coverage.

Another great point for this foundation is the packaging. It comes in a glass bottle, which is always nice. It also comes with a pump (in the UK anyway).

I really don't have much negative to say about this foundation. The only thing I wish was a little better is how long it lasts. However using a primer & setting spray does help the wear time.

Some people might also be scared off by the SPF, but it's only 17 so I doubt it's going to make too much difference when taking photos. I personally have never had any problems.

Overall I love this foundation & would reckon it to most people. I have combo to oily skin & it works fine for me, equally it's not drying either though.

The price of this foundation is approx. £9.99.
(However they do go on offer, I just got two for £12!)

November Look!

It has been a hot minute since I did a make up tutorial and I've been wearing this look none stop all month, so I thought why not film it!

It's a pretty simple look, which doesn't take too long to do either.
So if you're in a rush it's the perfect face!

It's also quite a subtle look, which can go from day to night simply by adding a brighter lip or darker shadow into the crease of the eyelid.
