New Years Thoughts!

17:27:00 Unknown 0 Comments

So I'm not going with the whole new year, new me thing.
It's more new year, better me!

So I thought I'd write out some new year resolutions with you guys.
Please comment below with yours, I'd love to read them!

I feel like I'm in a pretty good place with life at the moment, however there is always room for progression!

  • I want to progress further with my photography business, aiming to book more weddings, family and model/ makeover shoots.
  • I want to grow my youtube channel, by adding more and better content for you guys!
  • I really need to get back into working out and being fit & healthy.
  • Save more money, possibly for a car or my own place.
  • Get more videography bookings and improve my video skills.

So basically it's mostly work related goals, but I love my job and it's my life :)
The main goal is to love what you do, and I intend to stick to that!

I hope you all have a great New Years Eve & New Year!
I will be capturing all those loving drunken moments tonight at my two club residencies ;)

What I got for Christmas 2014!

12:55:00 Unknown 0 Comments

I posted one of these videos last year and I love watching them myself!
Hence why I decided to do one again this year :)

I'm not trying to brag.
I'm very grateful of all the gifts I've received & I honestly don't think there was one thing I got that I wouldn't use, which is awesome!

It's Potent!

13:48:00 Unknown 0 Comments

As part of my Benefit advent calendar I got this mini tub of eye cream, quite a good gift I think!

For quite a while now I've been using a Simple eye cream, due to my endless eye problems I just felt it was better for them to be using less chemicals.

This eye cream is a pretty thick cream but doesn't feel like it just sits on the skin, which is great. Especially when you want to apply make up straight after your skincare routine!

With any thick cream I wouldn't advise letting it get in your eyes, but I feel like some just irritate my eyes by applying them, however this one doesn't!
So for all you sensitive eyed folk out there this product should be fine.

This cream also feels like it has a bit of a tightening effect on the skin, which really is what we all want right!?

I'm not sure it fades dark circles like it claims to. I work nights though, so I'm convinced NO eye cream could sort that out! Haha!
(If you have any recommendations please comment with them below, because I'd love to find one that does!)

This products retails for £25.50. I'm not sure it's quite worth that price tag, I would advise trying to get your hands on a sample size one first.

Mask of Magnificent more like

11:50:00 Unknown 0 Comments

I could have easily done this review back in February when I first purchased this product, to be honest I don't know why I didn't! What I'm trying to say is from the first time I tried this mask I knew I loved it & that it was amazing!

I am of course talking about Lush's Mask of Magnaminty.

The mask is labelled as a face & back pack, however I am not a "backne" (back acne) sufferer!
However for your face this stuff is awesome!
If I'm being really honest I think I prefer this to my GlamGlow in terms of a full face face mask.

The smell isn't the nicest smell ever though, smells kind of like minty vegetables. The mask can also dry out a bit and is best used within a 5 month period.

This mask is definitely worth the £9.75 price tag, in fact I think it's quite the bargain!
I love this mask and definitely plan on repurchasing it once I have finished this pot.

It gets rid of blackheads and makes your skin glow, what more could you ask for!
Also when you wash this mask off it has exfoliants in it, so it exfoliates your skin as you wash it off.

Lush also has a version for you ladies (& guys) that need a bit of extra hydration, with their self-preserving version of this mask!

Is it a Make Up Revolution?

16:43:00 Unknown 0 Comments

Make Up Revolution is quite a new make up brand on the UK market, so I wanted to see what some of their products were like.

I believe the brand is quite similar to Make Up Academy (the names are similar if nothing else), as they both offer £1 make up products including lipsticks, eyeshadows etc.

To see swatches and my thoughts on some of these products please watch the video below:

Hair Heaven!

18:08:00 Unknown 0 Comments

I received this hair oil in a recent Glossybox and it is the Natural World Weightless Hair Oil.

I do already sometimes use hair oils, usually just to add some moisture to the ends after washing.
(I wouldn't advise using hair oils near the roots of your hair.)

This bottle is a sample size bottle at 25ml, however that is perfectly fine with me!
If you've ever used a hair oil before you will know that you don't need to use much product at all and therefore hair oils tend to last for ages. Another plus to the size is that it's ideal for travelling.

Moving onto the actual product, firstly it smells amazing (unless you hate the smell of coconut)!
With regards to getting the product out of the bottle it is a little tricky but oh well.

The oil itself is lightweight and very nourishing on the hair. It makes my ends feel ridiculously soft, which is exactly what you want.
Another good point with this oil, this is my favourite part, is that after you've applied the oil it doesn't remain greasy on your hands. For some this might not be a problem but I hate trying to wash greasy oils off of my hands after use!

I'm loving this hair oil and plan to keep using it! It has definitely become part of my hair routine especially now I'm trying to grow my hair!

The box itself is a really nice package, it's like receiving a present!
Then you get five products inside the box.
These can vary from body care, skincare, make up etc.

The products vary in size as well, some are minis or tester sizes whilst others are full size!

A company called Sun Goddess reached out to me to see if I wanted to review their sunless tanner. There was no obligation, simply if I liked the product I could review it.

After testing the product I have to say I do like it, for a sunless tanner quite a lot actually.

I don't really use tanners much but I think this product has completely changed my opinion on tanners!

11:40:00 Unknown 0 Comments

It has been a hot minute since I did a make up tutorial and I've been wearing this look none stop all month, so I thought why not film it!

It's a pretty simple look, which doesn't take too long to do either.
So if you're in a rush it's the perfect face!

It's also quite a subtle look, which can go from day to night simply by adding a brighter lip or darker shadow into the crease of the eyelid.

Products used:
- Benefit Porefessional
- L'Oreal True Match Foundation
- Benefit Brow-Zing kit in Medium
- Benefit High Beam
- Max Factor eyeshadow trio in Precious Metals
- Benefit Big Beautiful Eyes Palette

I've been working photographing in loud environments for years! I have always been sensible and worn ear plugs but only the standard ones you can buy.

I had been meaning to get some custom ear plugs done for a while now and in September I attended the BPM DJ/Disco trade show at the NEC. Whilst there I noticed that a company called ACS Custom had a stand. Check here to check out their website!

I don't want to go into too much detail about my custom ear plugs here, because that would make this post 1) very long and 2) potentially a bit boring.

Crazy Creepy Clown!

21:43:00 Unknown 0 Comments

I enjoyed filming my first Halloween make up tutorial so much that I decided to film another!

This one is a crazy/ creepy clown.

Again it's quite an easy simple look, using no latex, etc. Just make up. The look is made up of just face paint and various eyeshadows!

However this look did take me about 50 minutes to complete, so make sure you have plenty of time to spare if you attempt it yourself.

Here is my second Halloween themed instalment!

This make up tutorial is meant to be kind of a 'general purpose' Halloween tutorial. By this I mean it can be adapted and used for a variety of different Halloween characters (devils, zombies, vampires etc).

It's also pretty damn simple!

I do also include a bit of hair fluffing in this video, although my hair naturally loves being a big mess anyway so that was all pretty easy!

It is a dripping blood nail tutorial.

Also you don't have to strictly use the same nail polishes as me, just either use what you have or like brand wise.

PEANUT!

So not many of you will know but I got a cat a few months back.

The story goes that there was a cat that roamed around where I live and used to come into the house and we used to feed her etc.

Then sadly one day she died :(

So after a few weeks of missing having a furry little friend for the dog (Soda), I decided I actually wanted to rehome a cat of my own.

So meet Peanut!

She was called Sparkles, to my horror! Literally every animal I've owned has previously had a terrible name! Haha
She didn't even respond to the name so we changed it!
Now she loves her name and responds to it.

She's a very loving cat, so check out some of the cute clicks I've put into this video below!

GlamGlow The Review!

11:50:00 Unknown 0 Comments

I did it guys, I caved and got some GlamGlow!

I have watched various reviews of GlamGlow products and have heard nothing but amazing things, so the temptation was high! However the brand isn't cheap to say the least!

So I had a shop around to try and find a good deal. In the end I ordered from a UK company called Zest Beauty. I have to say their delivery isn't great, but I did get the product in the end!

I decided to order the Clearing Treatment mask, which comes in the white packaging, as I thought it would be the best all round mask that I would get the most use out of.

What my review here to see what I thought:

'Fisheye Goodness'

11:46:00 Unknown 0 Comments

I have recently been somewhat neglecting the photography side of my channel so I wanted to bring you guys something a little different to a 'tips & tricks' video!

So I went with a spend or save style video, because let's face it getting into photography isn't cheap!
The cameras themselves aren't cheap let alone all the accessories!

The topic I decided to focus on was fisheye lenses VS fisheye adaption lenses.

In the photo below you can see the difference between the Nikon Fisheye Lens (left) and the Opteka Fisheye Adaption Lens (right).

So the specs & prices of the products are:
- Nikon AF DX Fisheye Nikkor 10.5mm f/2.8G ED Lens, £549
- Opteka HD2 Fisheye Adaption Lens, £39.95

To see whether I think it's best to spend or save please check out the video below!

IBIZA!!!

11:50:00 Unknown 0 Comments

If you follow me on any social media you'll know that I have been on holiday this past week.
Me and my boyfriend Reece have been to Ibiza.

It was mostly a chilled out holiday, consisting of relaxing by the pool and going out for dinners.

We did have a hire car so were able to go wherever we wanted on the island. Which we pretty much did!

Below is a photo from a beach club in Es Cana.

We also went to my favourite part of the island, which is Ibiza Town, there's just something very charming and lovely about the buildings and shops there.
It's really nice to go just as the sun is setting, below are a few photos overlooking the town.

Although we were staying on the east coast side of the island we did travel to San Antonio a few times and one of which was to spend sunset at Cafe Mambo. It was a lovely evening, but comes with quite the price tag peak season so be warned.

I did try to vlog some of our trip, watch the video here:

OOTD: Nautical Summer

10:34:00 Unknown 0 Comments

Instalment number two of my OOTDs is here!
Firstly I'd like to apologise for the crap photos, they're screen grabs from the video. As I forgot to take proper photos :(
(slaps wrist)

Anyway, so this ootd is a summer nautical theme which can easily be turned from day to night!

What I'm wearing:
- Shirt: Topshop
- Shorts: Superdry
- Bag: Michael Kors

Now here's the 'day to night' part.. just change up the shoes!

So primarily I'm wearing some casual Nike trainers..

Then I just change them for a pair of heels!

To stick with the nautical theme I thought I'd put on these espadrille wedges from Topshop!

Nailed it!

18:59:00 Unknown 0 Comments

These are the Barry M 'Gelly Hi-Shine' Nail Paints.

Their name says it all really! They are a high shine nail polish range, that are meant to look like gel nails.

For those of you that don't know much about Barry M, they are a UK drugstore brand & their primary market is nail polishes! Barry M have a variety of different nail ranges within the brand including these, foil effects, glitters & magnetic polishes.
Variety isn't the only thing Barry M have on their side, they are also very affordable! Some of their standard nail polishes are only £2.99, whilst the Gelly Hi-Shines are only £3.99!

Whenever I'm looking for a nice affordable nail polish I generally head for the Barry M stand. I like their nail polishes generally, I have a few of the different finishes and think they are pretty good as a whole.

I've seen a few different brands bring out these high shine or gel style nail polishes, but I feel these are the best value for money ones!
The have a good variety of colours from neutrals and pastels to brights!

Now for the nitty gritty:
These aren't a one coat sort of polish they just don't have that sort of coverage. I usually do 2-3 coats, however I think this is fine as the shine and gel appearance becomes more apparent as you add the coats.
I've noticed that the brights don't stain the nails as much as a lot of other polishes as well, which is always good.
They also wear very well, I generally can get up to a maximum of 4 - 5 days without any clipping!

So overall I love these polishes!
I love the finish so much that I'm planning on extending my collection, and why the hell not for £3.99 a polish!

Say Aloe to Kissable Lips!

13:58:00 Unknown 0 Comments

Sometimes our lips just get a little bit dry & flakey (horrible to admit I know)!

I've tried soooo many different types & brands of lip balms/ conditioners and just never really found anything that really moisturised the lips deep down.

This was until fellow youtuber Essie Button mentioned this amazing lip treatment from The Body Shop.

I don't tend to shop in The Body Shop a lot, I don't really have a reason for it. It's just a shop I've never really took much notice of.

So I decided to give this bad boy a try!
At £5 it certainly isn't the cheapest of lip balm products but the tube it comes in is considerably larger than most tubed lip balms (15ml compared to the usual 7ml).

The lip product I think works amazingly, really hydrates deep down and smooths the lips. It's also very glossy looking, my boyfriend even thought I'd got lipgloss on!

It's quite a thick consistency and at first a little sticky, but not unmanageable sticky.
Due to this thick consistency the product sits on the lips for quite some time but is still working it's magic at the same time. I prefer to put it on before I go to sleep for this reason.
However on the flip-side this stops the whole product coming off the minute you have a slip of a drink (which I find is a pain with most lip balms)!

So overall I think The Body Shop Aloe Lip Care works well, very well!

But... there have to be some downsides right?
Personally I'm not a fan of the smell, I'm not 100% on what it smells of but it's a very sweet smell.
I also am not a fan on the packaging, the applicator is one of those ones with just a hole & you push the product out. I just don't like them, I find them messy and feel they don't distribute the product very evenly on the lips.

But these are just personal preferences!
