So matte

14:15:00 Unknown 1 Comments

If you guys follow me on here or youtube you'll know I LOVE the L'Oreal Paris True Match foundation.
So when I heard about them bringing out a matte finish foundation I knew I just had to try it!

This is the L'Oreal Infallible 24Hour Matte foundation.

I picked up the lightest shade which is 10 porcelain. There are about 7-10 shades to choose from.
My overall opinion is that I love this foundation as well!

It honestly ticks all my boxes!

I think L'Oreal are my favourite drugstore brand, especially for foundations!
They just get it right.

Spring make up wish list!

13:31:00 Unknown 0 Comments

Seeing as I had such a good response to my previous wish list post, I thought I'd do another one.
This one is a make up wish list.

Seeing as it's spring now I think it's time to change up your make up routine.
I'm very into neutral eye shadows, but I really want to get more into using colours.

Not necessarily crazy eye looks, more using colours in the crease or underneath the eyes.

A company that specialise in crazy colourful make up are Flashmob.

This is the eye shadow palette I'm interested in.

(Photo from Amazon)

I just love how this palette is the colours of the rainbow!
You can go from some really bright crazy looks to some more muted purple or maroon eye looks.

They've also added a white/cream colour you can use as a brow highlight.
This has the potential to be a very cool & fun palette for spring/ summer!

It also only costs £6.70 on Amazon!

Let me know what's on your spring make up wish list below in the comments.

Recycling Glossyboxes!

19:17:00 Unknown 0 Comments

If any of you guys have subscription boxes, you'll know how much of a shame it is to bin the boxes once you've had the goodies inside.

I'm currently subscribed to Glossybox and they have some very cute boxes so I like to keep them. However lets face it we cannot just hoard boxes!

So I wanted to tell you guys about some ways in which I have decided to reuse/ recycle my Glossybox boxes.

1. Nail Polish/ Hair Accessory storage.

So here is just a normal Glossybox I've simply thrown out the lid and placed the box into my Ikea Alex drawers.
I noticed when I just put my nail polishes in a drawer they would just fall over or get thrown around whenever I open the drawer. By storing them in a Glossybox they stay in place in the drawer. If you have more polishes than me you could use more Glossyboxes to store them.

Another thing that seems to fly everywhere or move, where ever you put them... hair clips!
You could also store you hair ties & bobby pins in the hope of not losing them (optimistic I know)!

2. Photograph storage.

This box was the Love Edition Glossybox from February. I loved this packaging & just couldn't throw it out.
So what better way to continue the message than to store my polaroid photographs in there!
I haven't got many in there at the moment, I know. I really need to start using my polaroid camera more!

I have kept the lid for this box because polaroid photographs last longer when they are stored away from light. Light bleaches them, causing the colour & details to fade.

I do have some other Glossyboxes I have yet to put to use. To be honest though you could use them to store anything small enough to fit in them and they themselves fit in most drawers.
(The Alex drawers I keep mine in are the smaller more shallow ones.)

They can be a really useful storage system, so don't just throw them out!

Summer's coming...

17:40:00 Unknown 0 Comments

That's right! Summer's coming & I'm excited for it!

I also seem to be very good at breaking sunglasses lately too!

So I thought why not buy a few pairs.
If you guys haven't been on Boohoo before they are a very affordable shop.

I decided to film this haul a little differently.
I'd appreciate it if you guys gave me some feedback on the filming style.

Spring accessories: Wishlist!

12:52:00 Unknown 0 Comments

I love Spring! Finally the weather is starting to change.
However it's still a bit cold out, especially in the UK anyway!

So I thought I would create a 'wishlist' sort of post, so you guys can get some accessory ideas.

I love all the obvious accessories like jewellery etc. But if we're talking practically sunglasses & light scarves are the way forward!

I'm not really that fussy when it comes to sunglasses. Designer ones are always nice but sometimes high street do the job just as well.

Then there are scarves! Preferably ones that are made of a lighter material for this time of year.
Scarves are great accessories as they can add colour and layers to an outfit.

A great company that make scarves are Powder!
They make some really cool bright scarves like this one below.

These colours just scream spring to me! I'd pair this with jeans, some Vans, plain tee and leather jacket for a daytime look. There's nothing to say you couldn't pair this with an evening outfit as well! I actually think some of their scarves would be perfect for weddings they're that nice.

They actually have a section on their website especially for their spring scarf collection.
I'm really considering purchasing one or two myself they look so nice!

Let me know below what's on your wishlist!

Sunday Skin Secrets #2

17:29:00 Unknown 0 Comments

I overall have pretty good skin so picking a face cream/ daily moisturiser isn't that much of an issue.
To be honest the main thing I look for is something that doesn't make me greasy halfway through the day!

Fancy creams aren't really my thing, but I decided to try the L'Oreal Skin Perfection Daily Moisturiser a while ago.

I would like to note I have since repurchased this product, which says something!
This moisturiser retails for £14.99, however I always manage to pick it up on offer.

The cream itself has a nice light rose scent, nothing too offensive. It also has some blurring properties to it, which is great for people who have visible pores. I also find when I use this it also gets rid of any dark marks/ discolouration on my skin.
It doesn't do a lot for my rosacea though. Sadly not many products do!

I do like how this cream feels on my face, it sinks into the skin pretty quickly which I prefer.
It also doesn't make my skin greasy at all, this is probably my favourite thing about this cream!
I really don't think you could ask for much more from this cream.

It doesn't claim to be anti-aging, but L'Oreal do have many other skincare ranges to suit any age.
I have quite a few items from the 'Skin Perfecton' range & overall think it's a good range.
I would say it's suited for people around the 20 - 30 year old mark.

Are you guys sick of these posts yet? I hope not!
Yes I received another Glossybox!

This time it's just the standard pink box, still cute but not as nice as last month's box (The Love Edition).
You actually get more in this month's box though, which is always nice.

Products in the box:
- Naobay Moisturizing Peeling
- Essence Lash Princess mascara
- Sleek Pout Paint in Minx
- NCLA Nail Polish
- Dove Youthful Vitality shampoo
- Dove Youthful Vitality conditioner

Tea Talk!

18:45:00 Unknown 0 Comments

I never used to be a tea drinker but when a doctor recommended herbal teas, I thought what the heck!
And you know what, I really like them.

I prefer having hot drinks before bed so herbal teas are a great choice as they're caffeine free.
They are also good for you!

Below are some of my favourite teas:

I generally get my tea from Tea Pigs, because I know what like from them.
My favourite teas by them are the Super Fruit, Lemon & Ginger & Sweet Ginger.

The Super Fruit tea is great for if you're feeling run down or I like it for when I'm feeling congested. It can have quite a strong taste which freshens you up. The ingredients are berries & hibiscus flower. Which leads me to think if you served this cold with ice it would taste pretty similar to Starbucks' Berry Hibiscus Refresher!

The Lemon & Ginger is a bit more tame on the other hand. It's nice and light making a very refreshing combination! I think this would also be great served with ice in the summer! I have also read that lemon is great for the immune system and your skin.

The Sweet Ginger is perfect for those with a sweet teeth. It would make a great dessert replacement if you're trying to cut back. Ginger is another ingredient which is great for your immune system. This tea is another one which is ideal for if you're congested as ginger can help open up your airways.

Tea Pigs do have other flavours available on their website, so it's definitely worth taking a look to see what you fancy. They also do sample packs which include two tea bags, so you don't end up wasting your money on tea you might not like!

Naked Goodness!

18:52:00 Unknown 0 Comments

I might be late to the party but oh well! I always am aren't I? Haha!

This is the Urban Decay Naked on the Run palette!

I really wanted this product when I first heard it had been released but I hung fire as Christmas was coming and I had a feeling someone was going to get it for me.
Which they so kindly did!

This kind of palette is awesome, because it's basically a whole face of make up (excluding your base) in one convenient product!

I'm sure this was a holiday limited edition product, but they might still be available somewhere & I would recommend picking one up if you see one.

To hear more of my thoughts on this palette check out the video below:

Sigma Mr Bunny Set - 1 Year Later!

17:38:00 Unknown 0 Comments

If you guys are into make up you'll have heard of Sigma brushes, they are the 'it' brushes of the make up world.
So me being me had to put them to the test!

I purchased the Mr Bunny Essential Kit roughly about a year ago. Costing me approximately £110, so not cheap.

So lets face, it at that price you want them to last forever. So I thought I would do a follow up review on these.

First of all the cases are still in great condition which is good. I also have to say they are sooo useful when you're travelling, I even fit additional brushes in them.

The brushes themselves are in great condition I haven't experienced any shredding at all. The heads haven't loosened from the handles in the slightest.
I would also like to mention that I use these brushes on the daily and wash them every week/ two weeks.
The brushes are also still pretty soft. There is the odd brush that I feel lets the set down, which is the blending eye brush. None of them have even been stained by any products.
Overall though I do love this set and feel you have all the brushes you need in here.

I'm not sure they will last forever, nothing does right? But I honestly think these Sigma brushes will LAST.
I'm considering buying some more Sigma brushes soon, so that shows how much I like them!

What's in my bag!

12:10:00 Unknown 0 Comments

When it comes to accessories I love a good designer treat!
I somehow feel it's more justifiable, as I'll use them more. ;)

So my current bag of choice is this beauty.
This is the Michael Kors Susannah quilted leather large tote.

I love Michael Kors bags as they're designer but not overly expensive. You can also grab a bargain if you catch them on sale or at discount designer outlets.

I was looking for a larger day to day bag but not something huge and this is just perfect!
The leather is also amazingly soft & good quality.

Petshop Goodies!

19:34:00 Unknown 0 Comments

If any of you guys have pets you'll know what a pain it can be having to go out & pick up their food. Especially when you don't realise you're at the end of the bag when you are (always happens to me)!

A great online shop called PetShop have now got you covered!
They do this really handy subscription service, where you select how often you'll need food & they send it to you in the post.
Basically taking out all the hard work.

They sent me a few things to try for my fur babies.
They sent me:

The animals are loving the treats, especially the premium foods!
I will admit they usually get the bog-standard stuff we know they like & will eat, so this is a right treat.

I've also had a look on PetShops website and all of their product are great prices! With a lot of reductions on at the moment, so definitely check it out.
I always find shops like Pets At Home (etc) are very overpriced when it comes to more premium pet foods, but that's not the case with PetShop!

The website is also very helpful with tick boxes, which allow you to choose age, pet size etc to help you find the right foods for them.
Oh, and if you haven't met them yet. Meet Peanut the cat & Soda the German Shepard dog.

Let's Get Healthy #4

19:08:00 Unknown 0 Comments

So it has been about a month since I wrote one of these posts. So that's means I've been gluten free for about that amount of time too!

I honestly think it's the best lifestyle decision I've ever made!
I feel so much better!

I have also noticed I haven't been feeling as run down & sluggish in general. It's amazing the difference it has made. I have still been suffering from my allergy but other than that I haven't been ill in any way.

I also noticed within the first week of the diet I had lost about two pounds. I don't want to lose weight but that indicates that it might help people do so.

I am just loving not feeling bloated. Before, I was feeling like I looked fat (for me) but now I'm noticing it must have just been bloating. below is a photo of how my stomach is looking now, which I am pretty happy with honest.

The only problem with this diet is I don't often feel full. I guess because what my brain has always thought is full is actually bloated. So I am therefore eating more, but am not putting on weight (sounds great doesn't it, this might not be the case for everyone though).

Due to this constant feeling hungry I haven't been exercising as much because it leaves me feeling starving even more. Naturally, because of the amount of calories you burn whilst exercising. However I am doing more stuff with my horse as the weather is getting better, which results in more exercise!

So I am getting on track with the diet & exercise side of things!

As for my allergy, I have finished all my allergy testing & have my vaccine. Now it's just a case of building up a resistance. However if it doesn't work it means there is another allergy to something we haven't tested. This could be a very long road (hopefully not), but we'll just have to see!

Also in case you are wondering the hospital I have been going to is called Breakspear Medical Group.

Netflix Recommendations #1

17:45:00 Unknown 0 Comments

I love Netflix!
I'm sure most of you guys do too, so here are some of my current recommendations on what to watch.

This list is going to be pretty varied, but I figure that way there should be something for everyone!

1. Lie To Me

I loved this show when it first aired back in 2009! I have to say that it certainly hasn't aged, which is great. It would probably be classed as a Crime Drama series. However it's a little different from the usual, as it's not about the physical evidence. It's bases on Tim Roth's character (Cal Lightman) reading people's faces & body language. At first that sounds a bit silly but they actually make it very scientific in the series.

2. American Horror Story

Firstly if you haven't heard of this show.. where have you been?!
The first three series are available on Netflix & they've not long finished airing the fourth on tv. If you like horror you'll love this! Even if you don't like horror though you should give this one a go! It's creepy I'll give you that, but they have a whole series to scare you so it's not quite the same as a 90 minute horror flick of intense fear & gore. It's quite sexually explicit too, so not exactly suitable for younger viewers.

3. Friday Night Dinner

If you love English comedy shows you'll love this. It's a similar vain to The Inbetweeners, featuring Simon Bird who played Will in the show. It's based on a Jewish family who get together every Friday night to have dinner, however it's never that simple! Everything that could go wrong does and it's full of those 'oh god no' cringe moments. The first two series are on Netflix & the third is still available on 4OD if you love it that much.

I hope you guys found this helpful!
