2017 Goals

16:04:00 Unknown 0 Comments

Is it really that time of year again??.. Apparently so!
Seriously, where do the bloody years go [insert shocked emoji].

So let's talk about our goals for 2017, I would love to read yours in the comment section.

A lot of things have changed over the course of this year, so I wanted to use last years goals to see how far we've come!

  • Post more consistently on my youtube channel & blog.
  • Start a gaming youtube channel.
  • Build up my photography & studio more.
  • Be more creative/ artistic with photo shoots.
  • Sort out my allergy & get healthier.
  • Do more exercise & yoga.
  • Save up to move out.

So they're a few things that I didn't quite achieve in my opinion, but for the most part I think it has been a very successful year! Another thing that happened this year, is we hit 1000 subscribers on Youtube, which was amazing!
So before I go onto my goals for 2017 I want to thank you all for your continued support with everything!
You're all amazing!

So the goals...

- Continue to grow my businesses (studio, photography etc).
- Enter a fitness competition.
- Move house.
- Do some travelling.
- Photograph more - various projects/ jobs.
- Stay Healthy

So I hope you guys have had an amazing 2016, I'll see you next year!
Stay safe & Happy New Year!

Yankee Winter Unboxing

12:27:00 Unknown 0 Comments

Looking for a great little stocking filler? Here it is!
Yankee Candle's Home Inspiration Winter collection.

I noticed this set was on offer in Asda last week at only £5! What a bargain!
It comes with six of Yankee's small candles in a variety of Christmassy/ Winter scents. The scents are all very nice, although I think my favourite is the Candy Cane Forest!

I've actually already brunt some of these candles, they don't kick off that much scent, however I think that's just due to the size! They do burn very evenly & are definitely worth more than 84p each!

So grab them now, whilst they still have them in the shops!

What To Expect When You Get A Puppy!

16:48:00 Unknown 0 Comments

We all have those crazy moments where we want a puppy, well earlier this year I actually went through with it! So me & Liam now have Ed the Pug, although he's not really a puppy anymore (he's about 7 months now).

I had never had a proper puppy before, so needless to say I didn't really know what to expect at all!
So here are a few things to expect when you're considering getting a puppy.
You will have a lot less money!
Sounds a little silly & obvious, however it's true! There is always all the initial costs, but there is also the ongoing food, vets & toy costs. So make sure you can definitely afford a puppy before even thinking of getting one.
You will have even less time for everything!
It goes without saying that you can't really initially leave a puppy much, so you will have to split your time even more than before. They are very needly when you first get them home, so don't book too much for the first couple of weeks. However that said it is always good to get them used to being on their own & travelling you if you need them to.
THE MESS!
Unless it's a miracle puppy your pup will have a few accidents, however it's down to you to teach them the right from wrong so crack on straight away! Just don't be too precious about your carpet!

However despite all of these things you will also have a little one that loves you & thinks the world of you! Every animal will behave in response to how you treat them. So if you look after them & treat them right they will turn out great.
Please think very carefully before you consider getting a puppy, also because there are loads of doggies that need rehoming. So have a look around!

Revlon Gel Envy

12:39:00 Unknown 0 Comments

We have reviewed some Gel nail polish here before, however it has been a long time since we talked anything nails! The reason for that is because I have been addicted to having my nails done by a nail tech. I honestly didn't think it would make such a difference!

However there are times when I still do my nails at home & when I do I always use Gel style nail polishes.
As my last review stated I love the Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine nail paints, but they can go a little tacky pretty quickly. So I have been trying these Colour Stay Gel Envy polishes by Revlon.

Firstly, I'd say the brush on these Revlon ones are much better & make for really easy use. However I think the shine & opacity of the different polishes in pretty similar, the Barry M being slightly more gel like. The wear time of both is again very similar, so approximately a week (if you're careful).
I think these are the best at home gel ranges, however the polishes really aren't the star of the show here!..

The polishes are great yes, but my favourite item from this whole collection is the Diamond Top Coat!
The top coat for this collection has become an absolute staple of my nail routine. Even when I have them done professionally, if I catch my nail or anything I apply a little on top & it helps them last that bit longer! It's an awesome top coat, which will make any nail polish appear more like gel. I also find that it helps my manicure last up to two weeks, so double the wear time!

So an overall would recommend, especially the top coat!

Sparkly Pumpkin

10:44:00 Unknown 0 Comments

Last but not least, it's time to take a look at Lush's Sparkly Pumpkin bubble bar.
This one is a good old classic of Lush's Halloween range, however I have to say they do seem smaller this year.
I couldn't find any info on this one however judging by the smell this very similar to the pumpkin bath bomb, as it is quite spicy too!

So quick update, having used this bubble bar - it was beautiful! It wasn't too glittery & the scent is gorgeous! I'm really disappointed I won't be able to get hold of it until next year!

Outfit of the Day - Khaki

09:19:00 Unknown 0 Comments

It's been far too long since we did an outfit of the day style post on here & on my Youtube channel, for a matter of fact! Winter is here & that means one thing. Layers!
I find it really hard to be stylish! But adding layers to an outfit can really help make it unique & exciting.
This outfit is anything but exciting, but it is practical, simple & comfortable! Which is my style all over. In fact, this is considered a lot of colour in an outfit for me (haha, yes I'm Wednesday Adamms)!

SO the outfit. My bomber jacket is from Missguided, costing only £35 it was a right bargain. It is also faux fur lined, which makes it really warm & comfortable. My Top is by Hollister & from ASOS. I have since got three more of these tops in different colours, I just really like them. My jeans are from Topshop, which are my favourite jeans!

My shoes by Nike (what's new, haha). You guys know me! I love Nike trainers, they're just so comfortable & durable. These were actually a birthday present from Liam :)

Woolaton Park

08:50:00 Unknown 0 Comments

So recently, well back in October actually, we took Ed on a little trip out to Woolaton Park.
It was our first time taking him somewhere open & busy.
You know what Ed loved it! He was so well behaved & walked so far (considering his little legs). I also took this as a chance to snap some photos of the little guy too.
This day is part of Vlogtober over on my Youtube channel if you want to check it out! We're also hoping to have more days out like this in December as part of Vlogmas.
I would do a little talk through of my outfit, however it wasn't really a put together outfit more lets keep warm (haha)! Hoodie: superdry. Leggings: Gymversus. Shoes: Nike.
I hope you guys enjoy these image based blog posts, as I think they look quite nice & add a little something different to the blog!

MUA Luxe Liquid Lip

09:04:00 Unknown 0 Comments

Liquid lipsticks are still a hot topic in the beauty community, and I'm just starting to get into it myself. I already own a few liquid lipsticks, however I haven't been completely satisfied with them.
I also am a bit reluctant to splash my cash on them because of this.

So I wanted to try so more drugstore ones. These ones I've had my eye on for a while, as they have some really cool & interesting shades (as you can see). These are MUA - Make Up Academy's Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquers.
I did only pick up a few shades, which are Potent (right above) & Unity (left above).

Firstly, value of money. These are more than worth the spend. At only £3 per lip lacquer you could easily buy the whole collection for the price of some other liquid lipsticks. These definitely fall right into the 'dupe' section!
Another thing about these is the packaging. For the price I really think they've done an amazing job of making them look more expensive. The frosted glass style packaging makes them look so much more high end. They're definitely cute enough to display on your vanity.

So onto the formulation! I would have to say I quite like it! It dries down quickly, but not so quick that you can't correct any mistakes. It also is very comfortable to wear, which is the problem with most liquid lips I've tried. I will say after about 6/7 hours of wear they begin to back up a bit & flake. However chances are I won't be wearing them that long generally.
Above is a swatch of both colours. As you can see the left is a little patchy, which these can be, however they are very buildable. I would recommend doing at least two coats just to be sure & to get the best wear time.

Also is it me, or does Unity (left) look a little like Cashmere by Lime Crime... just saying!

Pumpkin!

08:57:00 Unknown 0 Comments

I know Halloween has been & gone, but it doesn't have to be that way!
We all know that whenever there is a holiday is a Lush aftermath that follows.

So prepare for some more Lush reviews.
Today we're going to be talking about Lush's Pumpkin bath bomb. I believe this is a return item, so it did appear in last years collection.

Lush say this is a vanilla & spicy cinnamon bath bomb which is sweet & comforting. Think baking cinnamon bread! That's this bath bomb. Personally I really loved this bath bomb!
I know I'll definitely be picking some up next year.

The Ultimate Curler!

16:40:00 Unknown 0 Comments

I really like curling my hair and am always on the hunt for the best curling wand out there.
There has been one that I've had my eye on for so long, however it wasn't until recently that it was available for shipping to the UK.

This curler is by the infamous Bellami Hair brand. As some of you might know I am quite the fan of their hair extensions. (I just love the quality & thicken of the hair!)
So having had a great experience in the past with this brand I really wanted to get my hands on this curling system.

The system consists of the base of the wand & six interchangeable barrels. The kit also does come with a safety glove, which I would advise using as this wand can get very hot!
The barrel sizes you get in the set are:
32mm, 25mm, 19mm, 25mm - 18mm, 18mm - 9mm & pearl.
To be honest having used this wand multiple times with different barrels I have to say I really like it!
The only downside for me is that the wand doesn't have anything to help it stand up, which means it can fall off surfaces or lean on things & potentially burn them (less than ideal).

Some of the features of the wand I really like however are the temperature controls. You can change the temperature to suit how much heat you want to use on you hair. You can also see the exact temperature as it heats up & it beeps when it is at the set temperature. Which may sound silly but a lot of cheaper curling wands don't do any of this.

It's generally not a cheap set, however you can find coupon codes quite often!
The only thing I would check when using coupon codes is the warranty details, I've thought they can void the warranty (not cool).
Also I didn't get any additional charges on top of shipping with this order (because it came from the US).

Check out the video & demo of all the barrels here:

The Blogging Process

14:07:00 Unknown 0 Comments

I have been blogging for a few years now & I get asked how it works pretty regularly.
So I thought I would talk you guys through the whole blog progress.

So the first part of blogging is purchasing/ receiving a product & testing it out. You can't review a product you haven't tried! I would advise used the product at least 3 - 5 times to form a fair & valid opinion on it. If it has a specific claim, definitely test that feature.
The next thing is to photograph or video (or both) the product. If it's make up, swatches are always good to photograph too. Try to create different backgrounds & set ups for photographs so they don't get boring/ too similar (unless this is part of your theme). I like to try to make them fit the theme of the product or season.
Fashion/ style photographs might be a bit more difficult, you may need to get someone else to help you by taking the photos. For fashion images I would advise scouting some cool locations, so you can get some awesome professional looking shots.

Then the next stage is to go through all your photographs at decide which ones you're going to use. Then it's time to edit them. I edit mine on photoshop, however you could easily do this on your phone or tablet.

Now you're ready to upload your images and get started on your blog post!
Firstly, the title. This can be the deciding thing to make someone read this blog post or click away, so think what you want it to say.

Now this is what I sometimes find the hard part, writing up the blog post. You want it to be informative but not boring or too long. It really is about getting the right amount in there without waffling on. I will say there is also another format which can work, which is a predominately image based blog post. Once you have done this & spell checked, you're ready to publish your blog post!

I hope you found this useful!

Gymwear Wishlist

10:17:00 Unknown 0 Comments

You guys might not know this but since starting the gym I have been OBSESSED with gym wear.
I mean what can I say, it's all so comfortable to war & very flattering on the body!

So here is a little wishlist of gym wear items I'd love!

Ryderwear D-Maks Raw Grey lifting shoes.
I have mixed feelings about training shoes, however I do lift some serious weight so I don't see why I shouldn't have a pair really! These ones by Ryderwear are pretty affordable & nice to look at! They have good selection of colours but I felt the grey were the most wearable.

Gymversus Black Airtex vest.
You can never have too many vests, right? This one by Gymversus is particularly cool as it somewhat see through. So if you have a cool sports bra you want to show off without going topless it's perfect.

ICanIWill Comfy V2 Tights.
Ok so I am a legging addict! These legging just look amazing don't they! Nice grey leggings are really hard to find, but these look like they are spot on. I love the piping detail too!

Gymversus Lightweight Stretch Bottoms.
I don't really wear joggers much ever, however it is starting to get a little too cold even for leggings.  I like the slim fit of these ones & how simple the design is.

ICanIWill Perform Tights in Khaki.
Khaki is huge this year & it's awesome to see it's starting to get into the gym wear market too! I think it's a really flattering colour on most people. I also like to black panel design on these.

Nike Elastika Tank Top.
I've seen a lot of these vest with the strip back, however a lot of them just don't look very nice. This one by Nike actually looks really nice. Simple colours & a thin strip down the back. This sort of vest is great to show off your back!

MAC Mineralised Skin Finish - Natural

09:48:00 Unknown 0 Comments

Powder. A really awkward product for me. I feel like it's really hard to find a good powder, that does exactly what you need it to!
I tend to use powders to set me under eye area or if it's appropriate as a powder foundation sometimes.

There is one powder I have found so far that does a pretty decent job of both & that is MAC's Mineralised Skin Finish Natural.
I have actually repurchased this product a few times, so it must be pretty good. I actually prefer to use this as a powder foundation, as it have quite nice coverage for that. However I do also sometimes use it to set my under eyes if my concealer is a little light in tone (in the summer).

This powder is great because MAC seem to make this in lighter shades than some of their liquid foundations, which I'm sure I'm too pale to use. I also feel like this powder has a brightening aspect to it, which make your skin pop & glow a little. It just creates a really fresh, healthy look.

Overall I would have to say that this is my go to powder at the moment. I have tried a few different ones from the drugstore that I've liked, however none have compared to this one. It's also really helpfully having a mirror in the compact, which a lot of drugstore powders don't have.

Overall, if you're feeling a bit spendy I'd definitely recommend this powder!

Youth Mud

09:06:00 Unknown 1 Comments

Now you guys all know that I absolutely love GlamGlow's SuperMud face mask, so I have since purchased some of their other face masks to see if they're just as good.

So I recently tried out their YouthMud face mask & I have to say I have some mixed feelings about it.

So I have used this mask a few times, so I think I can make a fair comment on how it worked for me. I will say it does work, it makes your skin feel super clean & look a lot healthier/ clearer. However it is one of those masks that brings all the nasty things to the surface, so after a few days don't be surprised by some spots!
There isn't the features of this mask that bother me, it's more the texture & feeling of it whilst on the skin. It honestly has the texture of sand, which I find a little hard to apply to the skin or too abrasive for my skin at least. Another thing is that it kind of strings my face when I first put it on & for probably the first five minutes of the face mask. I have heard a lot of people have this or worse, a burning feeling when using this face mask.

So that's why I'm so undecided on it & with the price tag being so big, I don't think I'll be repurchasing this mask. I'm glad I tired it, but I feel like it's really not for my skin type.

Halloween Q&A

12:58:00 Unknown 0 Comments

1. Why do you love Halloween?
I'm not really sure to be honest, it's just a really fun holiday! Lots of candy & scary creepy things, sounds good to me! I love watching paranormal stuff at this time of year too.

2. What costume sums your personality up perfectly?
Erm.. Possibly Wednesday Adams? I definitely have resting bitch face like her! haha!

3. Have you ever been to a scare attraction?
Yes! I've been to Scarefest at Alton Towers! Their scare mazes are amazing, although I haven't been in a few years now! They do have a lot of new ones this year though.

4. Previous Halloween costumes?
I've only properly dressed up once & it was a few years ago now. I dressed as Mrs Freddy Krueger & yes I did do the make up for it too!

5.Favourite horror film?
God that's a hard question! I'm really not sure on that one, partly because a lot of horror films are crap! haha! I think the best horror films are psychological horrors, they're so much more intense!

6. Do you believe in ghosts?
I'm honestly not sure. I personally have never had a ghost or paranormal experience so I find it really hard to believe really. As a photographer as well I'm well aware of what can be done in photoshop. I don't know really!

7. What are you craving in your pumpkin this year?
I haven't decided yet, but we will be vlogging our pumpkin craving for vlogaween!

Spooky Decor

10:25:00 Unknown 1 Comments

It's finally Halloween week!
So if you hadn't already (I had) decorated the house, now is the time.
Check the images & video for this blog post to see how I've decorated mine house this year. We have only decorated inside because I couldn't really find any nice outdoor props/ decor.
Maybe next year!
I mostly put my money into candles & cute pumpkins!
Most of the items I got are from Sainsbury's, a few things from Asda & then the candles from their respective brand shops. I would say shop around, as you might not find everything you're looking for in just one shop!
I also tried to get items that I knew I could keep for next year, so durable & quality products!
Enjoy the video too!

October Favourites '16

16:36:00 Unknown 0 Comments

Now I know I'm a little early on this one, however I wanted to fit it in as one of our Vlogtober episodes, before we moved onto Vlogaween!
So today we are talking about my October Favourites!

Candy Kittens in Wild Strawberry.
I know I have been going on about these quite a bit recently, but that's because they are simply awesome! I did favourite them in my last monthly favourites, however this strawberry flavour is my absolute FAVOURITE!

Soap & Glory Sugarcrush Body Wash & Hand Food hand cream.
This is all about the scent for me, I love the Sugarcrush scent. However I have to say these products do really work!

MAC Lipstick in Hot Gossip.
This appeared in my 'what's new in my make up bag' post recently because I've really fallen back in love with MAC lipsticks & this shade is my favourite of all the ones I own.

Woodwick & Yankee melts.
Melts are the new candle for me. I have an electric burner so they are a safer & cheaper way of scenting your home! At £1.50 for a pack of six, you really can't go wrong.

Monster Ultra energy drinks.
Sometimes everyone needs an energy drink, including myself. I actually really like these as a pre workout, as they're not quite as intense! The ultra ones are also only 11 calories!

Namaste

10:24:00 Unknown 0 Comments

We all need some time to relax!
As usual Lush have you covered on this one, with their Yoga Bath Bomb.

This one is actually a repurchase for me because I enjoyed it so much the first time I used it.

I will warn you now this bath bomb does have some glitter in it, so if you're not of a fan of that it might not be for you. However it's scent is pure bliss & relaxation. I'm not really sure what it is about this bath bomb but it really is relaxing, creating calm & peace whilst you bathe.

So if you're in serious need of some chilled you time, this is a bath bomb I would definitely recommend!

New in my Make Up Bag #6

10:13:00 Unknown 0 Comments

As fall comes around I think it's time to have a little shake up of the old make up bag!
So there's a few new items & a few return items in there this month.

By return items I mean products I've had a while that I've just rediscovered. I mean who doesn't love a good re-discovery!

I actually haven't been buying much make up as of late, especially as it's getting to that expensive time of year (Christmas is coming). So something I try to do quite regularly is empty my make up bag & select some different items of make up I haven't used for a while.
That way you actually get the use out of most of your make up!

So onto the items...

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette is a good old favourite of mine. When I first got it I was OBSESSED with it for ages, as it was my first Naked palette! I think at this time of year it's nice to break out the warmer rose gold/ copper eyeshadow shades. Which is the whole concept of this palette!

Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy Diamond Top Coat, now that's a mouthful. However it is worth it, as this product is definitely one you want on your radar! I have recently been having gel polish put on my nails, however when I'm doing my own nails this is my go to top coat. It gives me twice as much wear time with any nail polish. This nail polish formula is great too!

Benefit They're Real Eyeliner is ones I've just getting into. I'm still not totally into eyeliner, however I find this one really easy to use for someone lazy & out of practice like myself. It also wears for a very long time. My only issue is it's a little hard to remove.

MAC Lipstick in Hot Gossip, this was the first ever MAC lipstick that I purchased & it hasn't been doing much for a while. I must say though, I still love it! It's a really nice pinky nude shade, which works perfectly with my pale skin tone. I just really hope them don't ever remove this shade!

So what's new in your make up bags this fall??
Let me know in the comments!

Candy kittens

09:04:00 Unknown 0 Comments

Time for snack?
If you've been here for a while you'll know that I'm gluten intolerant, which means my body struggles to break down gluten & foods with it in.

I check the bad of every food packet I pick up, I have to. However some things like sweets don't always come in packet that breakdown the ingredients. So I have a way of staying on the safe side of things..

Eat specialised gluten free sweets!

Candy Kittens are a company that make gluten free & (some flavours) vegan gourmet sweets. They have actually just undergone a rebrand so their flavours are limited, however my favourite are the Wild Strawberry & Eton Mess.

They sweets are great if you fancy a littler gluten free treat! They aren't that healthy so I wouldn't recommend eating a whole bag in one go, but they are nice to have now & again.

I also really like their new packaging!
These used to be quite hard to get hold of, but they are now available in your normal supermarkets as well shops like Selfridges.

Bubbleroon Delight!

13:00:00 Unknown 0 Comments

This is another new Lush discovery to me! I have tried some of their bubbleroons before.
In fact I decided to try this one because I love their Rose Jam one so much!

This is there Yuzu & Cocoa bubbleroon!
Ok, it may not look that nice it smells incredible though!

I honestly think this smell like chocolate orange! So i'm serious when I say, try not to eat it (haha).
Lush describe it as a sweet treat with cocoa & shea butter. The scent is described as citrusy with chocolate undertones.

See the demo here:

Benefit Blushes

09:42:00 Unknown 0 Comments

Benefit are a make up brand I love! I dare say they're one of my favourites.
I definitely have a lot of their stuff in my make up drawers!

Today I wanted to talk about their blushes. Benefit's blushes are one of their staple products, as well as their Hoola bronzer.

Firstly, we don't even need to discuss they packaging. It's simply beautiful, fun & unique! I love these boxed blushes, although chunky as packaging goes, they are very fun and very user friendly. This packaging is extended through to their palettes as well, which you can somewhat see below.

I have tried pretty much all of their blushes & their isn't one that I don't like. Granted some I like more than others but none of them like terrible or have no pay off. The lightest in pigmentation is dandelion, but that is due to it's light colour. I actually like it for in the winter when I'm super pale.

My current favourite (I say current because it changes quite often with these) is the Rockateur blush, it's a beautiful rose gold sort of colour. Again it isn't over-pigmentated, but for someone pale like myself it's perfect.

Another thing I love about these blushes is their scent. Some people might hate or not see the point in it, but all of these blushes are fragranced! I love the way they smell, in fact overtime I use one I just have to sniff it too (haha). I think they all smell slightly different, but they all are quite sweet & lovely.

If you can get your hands on a palette like the one above I would definitely recommend doing so!

WoodWick Wax Melts

13:54:00 Unknown 0 Comments

This year has been a real year of discovery for me when it comes to home fragrance!
I have found some awesome candle brands & got onto the wax melt hype..

In fact, a little too much I think!
I recently ordered a load of different wax melts off Amazon. The brand I purchased are WoodWick melts, which if you know me you'll know I'm obsessed with their candles.
I have a review of their candles here.

Firstly, I'm going to say if you can get to a shop to purchase these, I would definitely advise that over ordering online like myself. Although I like most of these scents, there is one here that I really am not a fan of (if you're wondering it's the Vanilla Bourbon).

I actually have an electric wax melter, which are perfect for scenting your home! Mine is by a brand called Scentsy, but there are quite a lot of different companies that make them now. They're great for so many reasons. One they're cheaper & the melts last longer than some candles (yes we burn them that much). Two they have no naked flame or anything that's too dangerous if you accidentally leave it on.

These wax melts come in different sizes & packaging. They can come in single, large multi-packs or these (photographed above) skinny ones. The singles & large multi-packs are my favourites as you only need one of them. To be honest, the singles I usually break in half. In comparison the skinny ones require two blocks per use to get the best scent result out of them.

Overall I really like these melts. They're great value for money & for the most part smell amazing.
The only negative for me is removing them, they do tend to stick!

Oral B

10:52:00 Unknown 0 Comments

Now I know, you're probably thinking this is a really random product to review. However, let's face it we want whiter teeth without having to pay a fortune & suffer the pain of the dentist's chair!

This is the exact reason I decided to try this toothpaste by Oral B. It is their Oral B 3D White Brilliance.

Now my initial thoughts were, wow this toothpaste looks weird as it has purple running through it. We've all seen red or blue, but not purple! It also tastes really weird!
It's not very minty at all, so if you're brushing to relieve bad breath this toothpaste is a little lack lustre.

So does it really work?
The straight answer.. NO

In fact I think my teeth look more discoloured & yellow since using this toothpaste!
So given the points above I really can't recommend this toothpaste to anyone, unless you really hate minty toothpaste I guess.

I wouldn't mind either, but as toothpaste goes this one isn't on the cheap end!
I think I'll stick with Colgate from now on.

Jelly Pong Pong

Liquid highlighter/ illuminators are kinda scary, haha.
There is definitely a way to use them & make them work, which I will admit I'm still working on!
There are some that are quite easy to use, like Benefit's High Beam. However usually I stay away from drugstore branded ones.

I did receive this one in a Glossybox some time ago & have only just got round to testing it out.
The company that make this product are called Jelly Pong Pong Cosmetics, which I believe is a European brand.

This product is actually described as an 'All Over Glow' luminizer gel.

Now this product isn't something I am drawn to, as I don't usually like all over illuminators. I have combo/ oily skin so I find they tend to make me look a bit more oily than glowing. Another thing that makes them a bit awkward to use is that a lot of illuminators are too golden in tone for my pale face!

This illuminator is actually quite pink in tone, which works better for me. I'll agree I still haven't tested this all over my face, I just can't do it (haha, sorry). I have however tested it on the high points of my face when highlighting.
I actually really like using liquid highlighters like this as it makes your highlighter pop even more.

So although this is described as a gel I would still say it's more liquid than gel. It does come out quite thin and a little goes a very long way. This does make me think it's better suited for an all over glow, because otherwise there is going to be a lot of waste product with this.

Also in the swatch above it looks quite sheer, but that is really down to how much you use, as it very build able (if you want that from a liquid highlighter??).

I actually quite like this for highlighting as it a very smooth and don't have any chunks of glitter in it! In fact in natural light it almost looks like a foil effect it's that smooth & highlighting.

I would actually go as far as to say it's a dupe for Benefit's High Beam. At just under £10 direct from their website it is definitely better value for money!

Some other plus points are that it is oil free, which makes it better as base make up & it is also cruelty free!

Thirsty Mud

11:11:00 Unknown 0 Comments

Up until now I have only ever tried one of GlamGlow's face masks, however I have been dying to try some of the others for ages! When I was in Rome I picked up some sample sizes to try.

I am planning on reviewing the other ones as well in the future, but this is the only one I've tried so far.

The one I have tried so far is the Thirsty Mud hydrating treatment.
Firstly, can we talk about this packaging??
GlamGlow packaging is always amazing and these sample sizes are no different. Sounds silly, but I love that the sample packaging is actually the same as the full size!

So onto the mask, this mask is a hydrating face mask for those times when your skin is feeling a little dry & in need of moisture. So I imagine if you have dry skin in general this product would be perfect for you!
I only tend to get dry areas on my face, so for me this is probably best used as part of a multi-masking routine (using more than one mask, different masks for different problem areas).

As I don't really suffer with dry skin too much I thought this product was going to be a little wasted on me, however I would have to say I was wrong!
The first time I used this mask was after I got back from Rome. The climate was so hot out there that it had dried my skin out quite a lot, so this had to be really moisturising to make a difference. I'm happy to report that I only needed to use this once, to restore my skin to normal!

So I am very impressed with this mask & I think if you're going away it's definitely worth trying.
It would be perfect for long haul flights, holidays & season changes (which we are undergoing right now).

I think in the winter months this mask is really going to come into it's own for me, because crazy British weather = dry skin!
