Last but not least, it's time to take a look at Lush's Sparkly Pumpkin bubble bar.
This one is a good old classic of Lush's Halloween range, however I have to say they do seem smaller this year.
I couldn't find any info on this one however judging by the smell this very similar to the pumpkin bath bomb, as it is quite spicy too!
So quick update, having used this bubble bar - it was beautiful! It wasn't too glittery & the scent is gorgeous! I'm really disappointed I won't be able to get hold of it until next year!
It's been far too long since we did an outfit of the day style post on here & on my Youtube channel, for a matter of fact! Winter is here & that means one thing. Layers!
I find it really hard to be stylish! But adding layers to an outfit can really help make it unique & exciting.
This outfit is anything but exciting, but it is practical, simple & comfortable! Which is my style all over. In fact, this is considered a lot of colour in an outfit for me (haha, yes I'm Wednesday Adamms)!
SO the outfit. My bomber jacket is from Missguided, costing only £35 it was a right bargain. It is also faux fur lined, which makes it really warm & comfortable. My Top is by Hollister & from ASOS. I have since got three more of these tops in different colours, I just really like them. My jeans are from Topshop, which are my favourite jeans!
My shoes by Nike (what's new, haha). You guys know me! I love Nike trainers, they're just so comfortable & durable. These were actually a birthday present from Liam :)
So recently, well back in October actually, we took Ed on a little trip out to Woolaton Park.
It was our first time taking him somewhere open & busy.
You know what Ed loved it! He was so well behaved & walked so far (considering his little legs). I also took this as a chance to snap some photos of the little guy too.
This day is part of Vlogtober over on my Youtube channel if you want to check it out! We're also hoping to have more days out like this in December as part of Vlogmas.
I would do a little talk through of my outfit, however it wasn't really a put together outfit more lets keep warm (haha)! Hoodie: superdry. Leggings: Gymversus. Shoes: Nike.
I hope you guys enjoy these image based blog posts, as I think they look quite nice & add a little something different to the blog!
Liquid lipsticks are still a hot topic in the beauty community, and I'm just starting to get into it myself. I already own a few liquid lipsticks, however I haven't been completely satisfied with them.
I also am a bit reluctant to splash my cash on them because of this.
So I wanted to try so more drugstore ones. These ones I've had my eye on for a while, as they have some really cool & interesting shades (as you can see). These are MUA - Make Up Academy's Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquers.
I did only pick up a few shades, which are Potent (right above) & Unity (left above).
Firstly, value of money. These are more than worth the spend. At only £3 per lip lacquer you could easily buy the whole collection for the price of some other liquid lipsticks. These definitely fall right into the 'dupe' section!
Another thing about these is the packaging. For the price I really think they've done an amazing job of making them look more expensive. The frosted glass style packaging makes them look so much more high end. They're definitely cute enough to display on your vanity.
So onto the formulation! I would have to say I quite like it! It dries down quickly, but not so quick that you can't correct any mistakes. It also is very comfortable to wear, which is the problem with most liquid lips I've tried. I will say after about 6/7 hours of wear they begin to back up a bit & flake. However chances are I won't be wearing them that long generally.
Above is a swatch of both colours. As you can see the left is a little patchy, which these can be, however they are very buildable. I would recommend doing at least two coats just to be sure & to get the best wear time.
Also is it me, or does Unity (left) look a little like Cashmere by Lime Crime... just saying!
I know Halloween has been & gone, but it doesn't have to be that way!
We all know that whenever there is a holiday is a Lush aftermath that follows.
So prepare for some more Lush reviews.
Today we're going to be talking about Lush's Pumpkin bath bomb. I believe this is a return item, so it did appear in last years collection.
Lush say this is a vanilla & spicy cinnamon bath bomb which is sweet & comforting. Think baking cinnamon bread! That's this bath bomb. Personally I really loved this bath bomb!
I know I'll definitely be picking some up next year.
I really like curling my hair and am always on the hunt for the best curling wand out there.
There has been one that I've had my eye on for so long, however it wasn't until recently that it was available for shipping to the UK.
This curler is by the infamous Bellami Hair brand. As some of you might know I am quite the fan of their hair extensions. (I just love the quality & thicken of the hair!)
So having had a great experience in the past with this brand I really wanted to get my hands on this curling system.
The system consists of the base of the wand & six interchangeable barrels. The kit also does come with a safety glove, which I would advise using as this wand can get very hot!
The barrel sizes you get in the set are:
32mm, 25mm, 19mm, 25mm - 18mm, 18mm - 9mm & pearl.
To be honest having used this wand multiple times with different barrels I have to say I really like it!
The only downside for me is that the wand doesn't have anything to help it stand up, which means it can fall off surfaces or lean on things & potentially burn them (less than ideal).
Some of the features of the wand I really like however are the temperature controls. You can change the temperature to suit how much heat you want to use on you hair. You can also see the exact temperature as it heats up & it beeps when it is at the set temperature. Which may sound silly but a lot of cheaper curling wands don't do any of this.
It's generally not a cheap set, however you can find coupon codes quite often!
The only thing I would check when using coupon codes is the warranty details, I've thought they can void the warranty (not cool).
Also I didn't get any additional charges on top of shipping with this order (because it came from the US).
Check out the video & demo of all the barrels here:
I have been blogging for a few years now & I get asked how it works pretty regularly.
So I thought I would talk you guys through the whole blog progress.
So the first part of blogging is purchasing/ receiving a product & testing it out. You can't review a product you haven't tried! I would advise used the product at least 3 - 5 times to form a fair & valid opinion on it. If it has a specific claim, definitely test that feature.
The next thing is to photograph or video (or both) the product. If it's make up, swatches are always good to photograph too. Try to create different backgrounds & set ups for photographs so they don't get boring/ too similar (unless this is part of your theme). I like to try to make them fit the theme of the product or season.
Fashion/ style photographs might be a bit more difficult, you may need to get someone else to help you by taking the photos. For fashion images I would advise scouting some cool locations, so you can get some awesome professional looking shots.
Then the next stage is to go through all your photographs at decide which ones you're going to use. Then it's time to edit them. I edit mine on photoshop, however you could easily do this on your phone or tablet.
Now you're ready to upload your images and get started on your blog post!
Firstly, the title. This can be the deciding thing to make someone read this blog post or click away, so think what you want it to say.
Now this is what I sometimes find the hard part, writing up the blog post. You want it to be informative but not boring or too long. It really is about getting the right amount in there without waffling on. I will say there is also another format which can work, which is a predominately image based blog post. Once you have done this & spell checked, you're ready to publish your blog post!
You guys might not know this but since starting the gym I have been OBSESSED with gym wear.
I mean what can I say, it's all so comfortable to war & very flattering on the body!
So here is a little wishlist of gym wear items I'd love!
Ryderwear D-Maks Raw Grey lifting shoes.
I have mixed feelings about training shoes, however I do lift some serious weight so I don't see why I shouldn't have a pair really! These ones by Ryderwear are pretty affordable & nice to look at! They have good selection of colours but I felt the grey were the most wearable.
Gymversus Black Airtex vest.
You can never have too many vests, right? This one by Gymversus is particularly cool as it somewhat see through. So if you have a cool sports bra you want to show off without going topless it's perfect.
ICanIWill Comfy V2 Tights.
Ok so I am a legging addict! These legging just look amazing don't they! Nice grey leggings are really hard to find, but these look like they are spot on. I love the piping detail too!
Gymversus Lightweight Stretch Bottoms.
I don't really wear joggers much ever, however it is starting to get a little too cold even for leggings. I like the slim fit of these ones & how simple the design is.
ICanIWill Perform Tights in Khaki.
Khaki is huge this year & it's awesome to see it's starting to get into the gym wear market too! I think it's a really flattering colour on most people. I also like to black panel design on these.
Nike Elastika Tank Top.
I've seen a lot of these vest with the strip back, however a lot of them just don't look very nice. This one by Nike actually looks really nice. Simple colours & a thin strip down the back. This sort of vest is great to show off your back!
Powder. A really awkward product for me. I feel like it's really hard to find a good powder, that does exactly what you need it to!
I tend to use powders to set me under eye area or if it's appropriate as a powder foundation sometimes.
There is one powder I have found so far that does a pretty decent job of both & that is MAC's Mineralised Skin Finish Natural.
I have actually repurchased this product a few times, so it must be pretty good. I actually prefer to use this as a powder foundation, as it have quite nice coverage for that. However I do also sometimes use it to set my under eyes if my concealer is a little light in tone (in the summer).
This powder is great because MAC seem to make this in lighter shades than some of their liquid foundations, which I'm sure I'm too pale to use. I also feel like this powder has a brightening aspect to it, which make your skin pop & glow a little. It just creates a really fresh, healthy look.
Overall I would have to say that this is my go to powder at the moment. I have tried a few different ones from the drugstore that I've liked, however none have compared to this one. It's also really helpfully having a mirror in the compact, which a lot of drugstore powders don't have.
Overall, if you're feeling a bit spendy I'd definitely recommend this powder!
Now you guys all know that I absolutely love GlamGlow's SuperMud face mask, so I have since purchased some of their other face masks to see if they're just as good.
So I recently tried out their YouthMud face mask & I have to say I have some mixed feelings about it.
So I have used this mask a few times, so I think I can make a fair comment on how it worked for me. I will say it does work, it makes your skin feel super clean & look a lot healthier/ clearer. However it is one of those masks that brings all the nasty things to the surface, so after a few days don't be surprised by some spots!
There isn't the features of this mask that bother me, it's more the texture & feeling of it whilst on the skin. It honestly has the texture of sand, which I find a little hard to apply to the skin or too abrasive for my skin at least. Another thing is that it kind of strings my face when I first put it on & for probably the first five minutes of the face mask. I have heard a lot of people have this or worse, a burning feeling when using this face mask.
So that's why I'm so undecided on it & with the price tag being so big, I don't think I'll be repurchasing this mask. I'm glad I tired it, but I feel like it's really not for my skin type.
