The pre-made MAC palette
So if you guys serially stalk the MAC website like I do, you'll know that they quite recently released two new eye shadow palettes. These are pre-made x15 palettes with set colours in them. They have a warm tone and cool tone one. I decided to go with the warm tone one as I tend to prefer warmer colours on my eyes.
I actually missed the initial release of these palettes as by the time I got onto the MAC website they were already sold out (much to my dismay). So when I finally saw they were back in stock I had to get at least one of them!
The warm tone palette which I got consists of 15 colours ranging from pale pinks to deep warm browns. I feel like this palette covers a lot of bases when it comes to creating eye looks. The lighter pinky colours make for great highlight colours, whilst there are some ideal transition and crease colours in there too! The shadows also come in a variety of finishes, which are stated on the back of the palette itself.
I did swatch a few of the colours so you guys could get an idea of the pigmentation. I think the pigmentation of these eyeshadows is pretty good, however I wouldn't say they're quite as pigmented as the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette I own. Both are good quality eyeshadows though! Although like a lot of shadows, as you can see in the photo, the dark matte shades tend to be the not so impressive ones. I'd also like to note that all of the swatches were without an eyeshadow primer underneath.
The colours that I have swatched here (left to right) are: Hey, Dance In The Dark, Amber Lights & Gingersnap.

So my overall thoughts on this palette are that it's a good palette with a great variety of colours in it. The two palettes would work great for any freelance make up artists, especially those covering weddings!
Another great thing about this palette is that it's a lot cheaper at £65 than it would be if you were to create a custom MAC eyeshadow palette (costing at least £120), so really it's quite the bargain, in MAC terms anyway.
