Coconut oil is a staple item that everyone should have in their cupboard. Why?
Well it's just so damn useful!
You can use it for a ridiculous amount of thing from hair treatments to cooking ingredients!
So I'm going to share some of its uses with you below.
Oil Pulling - Teeth Whitening
I haven't really looked into this use much as I already have a teeth whitening method that works for me (Doll White Strips). However there are a lot of company marketing/ selling this method.
Hair Mask/ Oil
You can either use this as a overall hair mask or as a hair oil. I personally prefer to use it as an oil. I use it sometimes to add some moisture to the ends of my hair. As I have long hair the ends can get pretty dry so sometimes they need some added moisture from an oil, coconut oil is perfect for this. Plus it smells great.
Facial Oil
Again another I don't tend to use, but a lot of people swear by coconut oil as a facial oil. Use it overnight to add moisture to the face & to reduce oil production in the daytime. Some even use it as a cleansing oil to remove make up.
Cuticle Oil
This is what I mean by a multipurpose product, basically you can use this as an oil anywhere on the body really. A lot of people like to use it on their cuticles as part of a manicure.
On Pets/ Animals
Whether it's a dog, horse or whatever pet you may have you should have some coconut oil lying around just in case. I know last year this was an essential for my horse as he had a lot of dry scabby skin on his fetlocks (ankles) & it was the only thing that made it better. If your animal is suffering with any flaky/ scabby/ dry skin issues apple some coconut oil to the area a few times, you will see a difference.
Cooking
A lot of healthy recipes these days use coconut oil in them. It can be using in baking for flavour & in cooking to add your diet. Using it to grease a pan can help add to your good fat for the day. It can be very helpful if you're very strict with your diet or counting your macros.

With everything I do, I like to tie in all of my interests.
If you guys didn't know, I have a horse & having been horse riding for many years.
This also seems to be a topic I haven't seen many blogs cover!
So onto the product I want to talk about...
Coconut oil!
Coconut oil is a holy grail in general for a lot of people, I don't use it much for myself. My horse however...
My horse has very pink skin (he's an Appaloosa colour, so it's a mixture of black & pink) and this means the minute the ground dries out he gets scabby skin. Specifically on his fetlocks, which is not ideal. What can make this worse is if the horse over reaches too, which my horse does sometimes.
I didn't really know what to use on them, as a lot of products we've used in the past haven't worked that well. Some of the products we have been recommended & used in the past have also had a lot of strong chemicals in them, which I don't like the idea of much.
So I decided to go all natural & try coconut oil!
It is amazing stuff!
It's completely got rid of any scabs on his first fetlocks & reduced them significantly on his back fetlocks. We still apply it daily to keep the fetlocks moist & prevent new scabs forming, but it seems to be working at keeping them at bay.
He also has been suffering with some mild sweet itch and the coconut oil has eased that too!
He's pretty much stopped scratching both his tail & mane.

I think a bit of candle talk is long overdue guys! Don't you?
So my current obsession is this Ikea candle It's always hard with Ikea candles because they don't have names. However this one I like to call Sea Breeze, as that's what the smell reminds me of.
The scent is lovely soft yet slightly salty coconut scent.
Basically the smell of holiday!
Who doesn't look that smell?
If you guys read my blog much you'll know by now that I love things that smell of coconut anyway.
Coconut & vanilla are just perfect to me!
They re-formulated these candles last year & I have to say since they have been 100% better. They burn really evenly, last for up to 40 hours, are cheap & smell amazing!
What more could you ask for from a candle.
I think the main thing I like about these candles, is that they are so damn cheap for their size. These candles last me for ages & I burn candles pretty regularly. I love more luxurious candles however I see them as a bit of a treat as I don't always like spending a lot on candles. So these Ikea ones are perfect if you love having a lot of candles around but don't want to break the bank!
I would definitely recommend!

I realised the other day that I seem to have a problem... Buying candles!
But they smell sooo good & I love lying in bed with just a candle lit.
Who doesn't right?!
These candles are mostly Ikea & Yankee candles (sorry guys no Bath & Body Works), because they are my favourite brands.
They are both different though, Ikea are very budget friendly whilst Yankee are more luxury.
So there's something for everyone!

I received this hair oil in a recent Glossybox and it is the Natural World Weightless Hair Oil.
I do already sometimes use hair oils, usually just to add some moisture to the ends after washing.
(I wouldn't advise using hair oils near the roots of your hair.)
This bottle is a sample size bottle at 25ml, however that is perfectly fine with me!
If you've ever used a hair oil before you will know that you don't need to use much product at all and therefore hair oils tend to last for ages. Another plus to the size is that it's ideal for travelling.
Moving onto the actual product, firstly it smells amazing (unless you hate the smell of coconut)!
With regards to getting the product out of the bottle it is a little tricky but oh well.
The oil itself is lightweight and very nourishing on the hair. It makes my ends feel ridiculously soft, which is exactly what you want.
Another good point with this oil, this is my favourite part, is that after you've applied the oil it doesn't remain greasy on your hands. For some this might not be a problem but I hate trying to wash greasy oils off of my hands after use!
I'm loving this hair oil and plan to keep using it! It has definitely become part of my hair routine especially now I'm trying to grow my hair!
