New in my Make Up Bag #6

As fall comes around I think it's time to have a little shake up of the old make up bag!
So there's a few new items & a few return items in there this month.

By return items I mean products I've had a while that I've just rediscovered. I mean who doesn't love a good re-discovery!

I actually haven't been buying much make up as of late, especially as it's getting to that expensive time of year (Christmas is coming). So something I try to do quite regularly is empty my make up bag & select some different items of make up I haven't used for a while.
That way you actually get the use out of most of your make up!

So onto the items...

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette is a good old favourite of mine. When I first got it I was OBSESSED with it for ages, as it was my first Naked palette! I think at this time of year it's nice to break out the warmer rose gold/ copper eyeshadow shades. Which is the whole concept of this palette!

Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy Diamond Top Coat, now that's a mouthful. However it is worth it, as this product is definitely one you want on your radar! I have recently been having gel polish put on my nails, however when I'm doing my own nails this is my go to top coat. It gives me twice as much wear time with any nail polish. This nail polish formula is great too!

Benefit They're Real Eyeliner is ones I've just getting into. I'm still not totally into eyeliner, however I find this one really easy to use for someone lazy & out of practice like myself. It also wears for a very long time. My only issue is it's a little hard to remove.

MAC Lipstick in Hot Gossip, this was the first ever MAC lipstick that I purchased & it hasn't been doing much for a while. I must say though, I still love it! It's a really nice pinky nude shade, which works perfectly with my pale skin tone. I just really hope them don't ever remove this shade!

So what's new in your make up bags this fall??
Let me know in the comments!

Instagram Look Back #2

As you can tell from the title, this isn't my first blog post from this series!
However it has been at least a YEAR since my first one. Seriously where does time go?!

So here is the second part of my Instagram Look Back series.

If you don't already follow me on Instagram you can by clicking here!

So lets begin.
We're going to start with the top left image, which is a photo of my nails. Now you're probably just thinking 'yeah they're nails & what'. This is the way I had my nails done for my brother's wedding! So they do have some significance really. I am very lucky & have really nice natural nails, so I just had a gel polish put on. I did love to way they looked though!

This second photo is from the day we picked Ed up! He was just gone 8 weeks old when we got him. Look how small & weird he looks! He has grown up so much & has proper pug features now. He looked a like an alien back then (haha, bless him).

This top right image is of a shit ton of Candy Kitten sweets & no, I haven't selected this images because I love sweets! Haha!
It's actually because I have recently been selected to be one of their brand ambassadors, as part of their #sweetsquad. However they are amazing gluten free sweets. Wild Strawberry is my favourite flavour ;)

This fourth photo is one of my favourite photos EVER!
It's a photograph of me & Liam at the Colosseum in Rome. We'd been together only a few months when we went on this trip & it was perfect. I had the best time, with the best company.

This image is just of some lip products, however I chose this one because it really represents the reason I started this blog in the first place, my love of beauty products etc. I love all of these lip products & how this image came out in the end.

This last photo is from when I went to Scotland earlier in the year. I went to go stay with my friends up there. Firstly, I always love seeing my Scottish friends they're lovely, but we also did some really awesome things whilst I was there. We spent a day in Edinburgh, which is where this photo is from. It's actually from the illusion museum.

I love doing this series, because it's a great little memory recap for me.
Hopefully we can make these a more regular thing, maybe every 6 months?!

Netflix Recommendations #2

As it's now the holidays, for some of us that means a lot of time with the tv/ Netflix!
I personally watch Netflix a lot throughout the year. However if you're looking for some prime watching here is my list of netflix recommendations.

Orange is the New Black

I know I'm late to this one, but if you're looking for a funny & witty series to get into this will be perfect for you. I will warn you that this programme has quite a lot of sexual content, so it's definitely not for children. The first series was so good I ended up binge watching it. I'm not that into the second series at the moment though.

Scream

Another Netflix exclusive I believe. This series is exactly was I love about AHS (American Horror Story), they have approximately 13 hours to create a story & scare the shit out of you. This series is obviously based off the Scream movies, however there are some differences. They have also left it VERY open for the second series too! Even my mom, who isn't into horror, enjoyed this for its crime & 'who done it' elements.

Louis Theroux - Extreme Love: Autism

I wanted to go with something a little different as my last recommendation, a documentary. Netflix actually have a great/ vast section of documentaries & I love a good documentary! I happened to just find this very insightful one in the Louis Theroux series. This episode focuses on children with Autism. Personally I think this is something everyone could do with learning more about! I have already studied autism in A level Psychology, but this documentary really hits you & allows you an insight into how complex autism is.

The Testing Tray #1

As a blogger that covers beauty products I decided to start a segment on here to give you guys a bit of a sneak peak of what products are in my 'testing tray'.

It doesn't necessarily mean there will be a review on all of these products, but if you guys comment below with any of them you would like to see a review on that would be ideal.

So here's what is currently in the tray:

1. Benefit Stay Flawless 24 Hour Primer.
This product is only a sample size which I got in my Benefit advent calendar but I haven't really tried it yet, so therefore it's on the testing list.

2. Schwarzkopf Got2Be All Star 10 in 1 Styling Treatment.
I received this product in a Glossybox a while ago and it claims to do a lot of things like adding shine, texture, reduces frizz, the list goes on. Hence the name '10 in 1', so I want to see if it really is a 10 in 1 treatment.

3. Younique Fiber Lash.
This product was sent to me by a Younique representative so I am inclined to review it, however it's something I've been interested in for while anyway, as I have noticed that my lashes don't seem to be as long as they used to be.

4. Superdrug De-Stressing Mud Mask.
I needed a new mask & just happened to be in Superdrug so I thought I'd pick this up & give it a go. Superdrug do a few different mud masks so I might try a few and do a batch review.

5. Make Up Revolution Vivid Baked Blush.
I got this blush about a month ago but haven't really used it much. So I thought I needed to give it a chance to see if it's any good. It looks very similar the Milani baked blushes that everyone raves about.

6. MAC False Lashes Extreme Black Mascara.
I got sent this by MAC, now you may be wondering how?!? MAC do this really cool thing on their Facebook page where you put in your details & they send you a sample. But it's on a first come basis, so keep an eye on their social media! So I'm dying to test this out to see what a MAC mascara is like, as I've never tried one.

Netflix Recommendations #1

I love Netflix!
I'm sure most of you guys do too, so here are some of my current recommendations on what to watch.

This list is going to be pretty varied, but I figure that way there should be something for everyone!

1. Lie To Me

I loved this show when it first aired back in 2009! I have to say that it certainly hasn't aged, which is great. It would probably be classed as a Crime Drama series. However it's a little different from the usual, as it's not about the physical evidence. It's bases on Tim Roth's character (Cal Lightman) reading people's faces & body language. At first that sounds a bit silly but they actually make it very scientific in the series.

2. American Horror Story

Firstly if you haven't heard of this show.. where have you been?!
The first three series are available on Netflix & they've not long finished airing the fourth on tv. If you like horror you'll love this! Even if you don't like horror though you should give this one a go! It's creepy I'll give you that, but they have a whole series to scare you so it's not quite the same as a 90 minute horror flick of intense fear & gore. It's quite sexually explicit too, so not exactly suitable for younger viewers.

3. Friday Night Dinner

If you love English comedy shows you'll love this. It's a similar vain to The Inbetweeners, featuring Simon Bird who played Will in the show. It's based on a Jewish family who get together every Friday night to have dinner, however it's never that simple! Everything that could go wrong does and it's full of those 'oh god no' cringe moments. The first two series are on Netflix & the third is still available on 4OD if you love it that much.

I hope you guys found this helpful!
