I normally tend to stick to the info when it comes to these Lush blog posts, however I just can't with this one. This is their Milky Bath Bubble Bar & you know what I think it's one of my new favourites.
If you love a clean crisp bath experience, you will love this. It has a lovely clean scent & produces pure white bubbles. Very pretty!
It is also really quite moisturising without covering you in glitter.
Christmas has come & gone, however the gifts are still being sorted out, haha, you all know what I mean! I wanted to do a mini review/ unboxing of Zoella's fragrance gift set.
The gift set is called Secret Scenta, very cute.
Now, I've never tried any of these fragrance before so I really had no idea what they'd be like. I think I have smelt a few in the shops, but that really doesn't mean anything. The sizes of these firstly, are super cute. I actually think they're the perfect size, as if you're not too keen on one it isn't too large.
However, it is a little sad if you love them, haha!
I also love that they've kept the same packaging/ design as a lot of sample items are very bland on the packaging front. Another thing is that all the fragrances are different, which leads me to say 'well done Zoe'.
Overall, I think this is a great little gift set. If you can still get hold of one, I would say do it! I'm hoping they bring these back next year, as they make a great gift!
As usual Lush have you covered on this one, with their Yoga Bath Bomb.
This one is actually a repurchase for me because I enjoyed it so much the first time I used it.
I will warn you now this bath bomb does have some glitter in it, so if you're not of a fan of that it might not be for you. However it's scent is pure bliss & relaxation. I'm not really sure what it is about this bath bomb but it really is relaxing, creating calm & peace whilst you bathe.
So if you're in serious need of some chilled you time, this is a bath bomb I would definitely recommend!
I mean let's face it we all love watching Lush demos, there's something oddly satisfying about them!
So today we're looking a bath bomb, which is from Lush's Christmas range.
I haven't heard anything about this bath bomb, I hadn't even seen it before.
So this one was a total surprise to me.
It's the Star Dust bath bomb.
It's description reads: Soak in starlit waters bearing exotic gifts of Fair Trade vanilla & precious Peruvian rosewood.
So although this this bath bomb seems a little dull, it's anything but! It fizzes revealing a light pale blue colour. It also reveals an array of colourful tiny stars, which is super cute.
Over time these little stars dissolve making for a super moisturising bath.
Due to it's size I imagine this probably one of their cheaper bath bombs available & I'd say definitely give it a try next winter!
So I couldn't help myself, I headed into Lush the other day.
I actually went in for someone else, but I just couldn't resist getting a few bath bombs!
I actually wanted to get Unicorn Horn but I couldn't find it (sad face), however I did still pick up one thing from their Valentine's range. I got the Lover Lamp bath bomb.
I also wanted to try out their Sex Bomb bath bomb, from the standard range.
So Lover Lamp fizzes away to release these super cute red hearts. Making for a romantic bath experience. The hearts contain cocoa butter moisturising your skin. It very much remains me of the Butterbear bath bomb, as the ingredients are very similar, with the cocoa butter & vanilla. This also has added brazilian orange oil for a hint of zest!
Sex bomb is classic at Lush, it has been a round for quite a while now. Turning your bath water a gorgeous pink colour, this bomb contains jasmine, ylang ylang & clary sage to help relax & destress. The scent is floral & seductive, perfect for a bit of you time!
I am not really one for hand creams, I use them when I have to but generally I don't really like them.
However..
I have found one that I LOVE!
It is Soap & Glory's Hand Food in the Sugar Crush scent.
I have tried the original one & like the formula, but I find the smell goes off very quickly which isn't nice. The sugar Crush one though! It's just amazing!
Firstly I love the sugar crush scent range from Soap & glory anyway! To be honest I think it's my favourite of all their scents. It's a delightful sweet citrus scent, very unique & refreshing!
I also love the formula of this hand cream, it's very much the same as the original. So if you like the original, you'll most likely love this one too! It's a moisturising but none greasy formula. I can't stand greasy hand creams, let's face it, we're all too busy for that nonsense.
This isn't super super moisturising, but I prefer my hand creams that way, as this trait is what makes a lot of them really greasy.
I only own the sample size of this product, but these sample sizes usually last me at least 6 - 8 months. To be honest I'm not exactly sure you can get a full size of this product, or buy it outside of a gift set. If you do see it though, I would very much advise picking it up!
Today I wanted to review Lush's YogNog bath bomb, I mean why not?
The first thing you notice about this bath bomb is the scent. I have to say it's not my favourite Lush scent, I would try & tell you what it is but I literally have no idea (which is unusual for me).
It's description reads: Raise a toast to cinder toffee soaks with spicy clove & ylang ylang.
Firstly, this bath bomb is massive! You could cut it in half & use it twice, just to get a bit more bang for your buck. It has a nice scent, but doesn't everything from Lush! However this isn't my favourite scent, I find it to be a little sweet yet powdery.
What I do love though is how this bath bomb makes your skin feel! It is super moisturising, which I imagine is the ylang ylang. In fact, if you watch the demo linked below you can see two yellow moisture balls of it! It seems like a great product though, as I didn't even need to moisturise after shaving my legs.
We're in a new year, so what better time to start testing some new products!
So here are a few things that are currently on my testing tray.
Urban Decay Smokey Palette
I got this palette for Christmas & still haven't really used it yet! So I can't wait to see if the quality of this Naked palette stands up to all of the others. I actually really like that there are more matte shades in this palette. The brush in this palette I've already used & I think it's awesome. The shape is so much better than in previous palettes.
Soap & Glory Hand Food
This is Soap & Glory's classic hand cream, which I know I already like for it's none greasy formula, but with a different scent. The scent is the Sugarcrush scent, which I have tried some of the Sugarcrush range before & liked it. So I think this is going to be a good one!
Benefit 'That Gal'
This is one of Benefit's long term products, they've been making it for years. So I'm wondering how it has managed to stick around so long. Surely it must be good! From what I know it's an illuminating base/ primer. Which I'm not always a fan of, but we'll soon find out.
Zoeva Rose Gold Brush Set
Another Christmas gift! I love trying different brands of make up brushes & finding which I love to most. I've heard a lot of good things about the Zoeva brushes, so we're going to be giving them a try. I already love the rose gold theme & the brushes feel super soft, which is always a good start!
Benefit Roller Lash
Another Benefit product I know. However I was such a big fan of the 'They're Real' mascara I wanted to try their Roller Lash to see if it could compare. Having looked at the wand, I think I'm going to like it, but we will see!
So instead of doing an end of year favourites I wanted to film something a little different.
So I decided to go with my favourite finds/ discoveries of 2015!
Some of my highlights have been finding out how amazing lip liners are, especially MACs & NYX's contour palette which is the first contour palette I've found for truly pale people. There have been plenty of other items too including haircare, more beauty, body care & skincare!
Us women know you sometimes struggle to buy for us, we can be very fussy creatures (sorry).
So here is a gift guide to help you out this season.

If I'm going out for the day there are some things that I know I just can't be without!
So here they are, they range from make up to iPhone apps!
1. Hand Maid hand sanitiser
Hand sanitiser is a must for me at all time really, especially on a day out.
You never know when you're next going to find a bathroom or sink, so hand sanitiser is ideal. If you plan on eating out, you should definitely be carrying some of this.
My favourite is this Hand Maid one by Soap & Glory as it smells really nice!
2. Sunglasses
I have really light sensitive eyes so sunglasses are must at all times.
These are just some cheap ones from Boohoo.com, I don't tend to spend loads on sunglasses because I get through so many pairs & lose so many.
3. Nude Lipstick
I always carry a nude lipstick with me, as lipstick is always the one make up product that wears off really quickly. I opt for a nude as I can easily apply a nude lipstick without a mirror & they tend to go with any make up look.
4. Lip Balm
Lip balm is something everyone should have on them, preferably one with SPF. You just never know when you're going to get dry/ chapped lips. If you have one that isn't tinted it can act as a multi-use product.
5. Face Wipes
As a 'just in case' I like to take face wipes with me on days out. They are great to wipe anything down really.
6. Suncream
Especially in the summer months it's ideal to take some form of suncream with you, if you can get a mini sized one brilliant but they're not that easy to find. I always use a suncream which is SPF30 or higher as I am fair.
7. Body Spray
Perfume can sometimes be a little intense for the daytime so I like to use & carry a body spray on days out. You can be a bit more literal with them, but it's important to remain smelling lovely throughout your day.
8. Trip Advisor
I use Trip Advisor a lot. I don't just use it for recommendations when I'm out & about I also like to write reviews on there too! It's a website for anyone who is into travelling. You can find reviews on attractions, restaurants, hotels & more!
Zest Beauty are a website that sell a variety of higher end beauty, skincare, haircare & body care products.
They've asked me to create a spring/ summer wish list from their website!
So here are some of the products I wish to purchase from their site:
1. St Tropez SPF 30 Face with Tan Enhancer (50ml)
I love the look of this product! As someone who is very pale I really need an SPF face cream, but the problem I have with a lot of them is that they stop you're face from tanning at all. So this looks great as it claims to be a tan enhancer too. This would be perfect for my holiday in Ibiza!
2. Moroccan Oil Light Oil Treatment (25ml)
Hair oils are a staple for me in life, I love them. However I have never tried this one & there is still quite a lot of hype around it in the beauty world. So as a blogger I'd really like to try it to see if it's worth the hype. I have selected the light one as I have heard that the normal one can be a little heavy for some people.
3. GlamGlow Supermud Face Mask (30ml)
This one would be a repurchase, in fact Zest Beauty is where I purchased it the first time round! They always have it on sale so it's cheaper than anywhere else! As most people know GlamGlow is notoriously expensive, so this lightens the blow a bit. I thought this product was great, it works really well for blackheads & spots and I love the smell of it too!
4. GlamGlow Powermud Duelcleanse Treatment (50g)
I haven't heard too much about this mask but the things I have heard have been really positive. This is the latest GlamGlow mask. It's meant to be a sort of all in one mask, which sounds great to me. You also get more product for a similar price, which is also interesting to me!
5. GHD V Gold Classic Styler
I'm long overdue some new straighteners and GHD are the biggest brand out there. A lot of people swear by them. These are also on sale at a reduced price on Zest Beauty which is great as they are quite expensive (£100+). However I feel like hot tools are somewhat an investment as they (should) last for a long time, so it's worth spending those extra few pounds.
6. Elemis Daily Redness Solution (Relief, 50ml)
This looked interesting to me for a few different reasons. The first being that whenever I go for a facial they always use Elemis on my skin and I really like the results. Also because I have some redness on my face which I really can't seem to shift so hopeful this could help. However this isn't cheap at £53, so if I could get a sample first that would be ideal.
Zest Beauty are definitely worth checking out as they have some real bargains, especially on GlamGlow, GHD & Dermalogica!
If you have any interest in beauty you will know about these amazing storage units.
These are Ikea's Alex Drawers.
They come in two different sizes, a nine drawer (pictured below) & a five drawer.
These first of all are just the perfect size storage for make up, skincare, body care, hair tools & everything else! The drawers come in two different depths which is very useful.
To go into more detail lets have a look inside them. So here you can see that I have found a divider that fits quite nicely (not perfectly) into the shallower drawers. This is also from Ikea, its a plastic cutlery divider. However it is longer than the drawers so I did have to cut it down.
If you're looking for something to stop smaller products rolling around this is perfect!
I don't have these in all of drawers because they do use up a bit of space themselves but I do have them in two drawers containing my make up.
So if you're thinking of picking up the Alex drawers it's definitely something to think about whilst you're in Ikea.
